Manolo Blahnik father’s family had owned a pharmaceutical firm in Prague, and his Spanish mother’s family had owned a banana plantation in the island city of Santa Cruz de la Palma. He was born and brought up in Santa Crus de la Palma in the Canary Island. While he was on his early age he was sent to homeschooled. After he growing up, he had attended a Swiss boarding school. Later, it is believed his parents had an idea him to be a bureaucratic diplomat, and enrolled him at the University of Geneva majoring in Politics and Law. However, Blahnik had changed his majors subject to Literature and Architecture.
